Dylan is in chart seventh heaven

Bob Dylan
Dylan released his first album in 1962

Bob Dylan has topped the UK album chart for the seventh time in his career, nearly 40 years since his last number one LP.

Together Through Life is the folk music legend's 33rd studio album, according to the Official Charts Company.
He last topped the UK chart with New Morning in 1970. His first, in 1964, was The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.
Dylan now holds a record, previously held by Tom Jones, for the longest gap between solo number one albums.
New record
Jones' 1999 comeback, Reload, topped the UK chart more than 31 years after Delilah reached the top in 1968.

Together Through Life was recorded late last year and is Dylan's first studio album since 2006 and is his 53rd album, including compilations and soundtracks.

Bob Dylan art exhibition extended

Bob Dylan
Dylan has sold more than 110 million albums since his first release in 1962

A Bob Dylan art exhibition housed in a tiny gallery in the Borders has been extended due to overwhelming demand.

The Breeze gallery in Peebles has been inundated with interest in the music legend's art work and sold out its allocation of prints in four days.
Two Scottish galleries are showing the works. The Breeze had 2,500 visitors in the first week of the exhibition.
It secured another 11 items from the collection of watercolours and prints, which will be on show until 29 June.
Bob Corsie, owner of the gallery, said: "We have had visitors from all walks of life, not just art fans but Dylan fans in general.
"We had more than 2,500 people through the door in our very first week and I think this exhibition has really put us on the art map.
"We have sold out of all 29 pieces we originally had and have been lucky enough to secure 11 more from Dylan's agent."
'Incredible success'
Ranging from £1,250 to £3,995, each of the prints comes adorned with Dylan's sought-after signature.
The original pictures were painted while the musician was on the road during 1989 and 1992, with 295 copies being made of each painting.
The collection has also been on show at the Princes Square Castle Gallery in Glasgow, which has also reported a huge increase in visitors.
Lisa Kennedy, Castle Gallery manager, said: "Dylan's exhibition has been an incredible success and we've sold loads of the prints.
"We are still taking orders even now, but the prints are extremely limited.
"To be honest, we could have sold most of them four times over."
In a career spanning almost five decades, Dylan has sold more than 110 million albums, the latest of which - Modern Times - reached number one in the US in 2006. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_of_scotland/7473816.stm

Yeah, I'm thinking of writing a review for it once I get some free time on my hands. I really loved it. I can't get the first song "Beyond Here Lies Nothing" out my head!

That's what this place is here for! :D
